The ladies of Grace Adieu - S. Clarke

It is a very pleasant read, but not one that leaves anything behind. I would say one can feel that is a preliminary work to Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, like testing the waters before diving in, maybe an exercise of style. I also found a reference to Piranesi!
